CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations First Time Regional Qualifiers: Katelyn Dickey, Xanthe Kalanyos and Emily Stewart

LAC swimmers had a 73 % improvement rate this past weekend in Tillsonburg.

Congratulations to all swimmers who achieved personal best times.

The SWA swim team sends their apologies that the awards for this meet are on backorder with the supplier and they will get them to us as soon as they are available.

TEAM SPIRIT

This weekend during the Eastern Canadian Championship swim meet at CGAC the coaches would like to offer an opportunity to our swimmers to come out and watch some very fast swimming.  On Saturday night, at 6:00 pm all LAC swimmers are welcome to join their coaches at CGAC. Wear your LAC t-shirt and show your team spirit!  Coaches will be with the swimmers all night but parents are Welcome to stay as well.

This is a fantastic opportunity to see some of the fastest swimmers in Canada.

See you there!

SPEEDO EASTERN CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Minor Officials

This is a reminder of the urgent need for minor officials for the Thursday afternoon and Friday morning sessions. Thank-you to everyone who has already signed-up. To recognize that for most families it is difficult to work these sessions, the club will be offering for this meet only; two (2) session credits for working either Thursday afternoon or Friday preliminaries. There is also still a need for people to do strokes and turns for all sessions except for Saturday finals.

Notes: Please use the website to sign-up for timing. Timer sign-up will available until midnight on Monday February 14th

Please contact Stacey Richardson at [email protected] to sign-up for strokes and turns.

If you are signed up to time but are strokes and turns qualified, please e-mail Stacey that you can do strokes and turns; then remove your name from timing. The Thursday session should be done shortly after 5pm and the preliminary sessions on Friday, Saturday & Sunday will end at approximately noon each day.

Other Positions

There are some other positions available during the meet. Please contact Jeff Smith directly at [email protected] if you are available to help.

Photocopying - after the Thursday afternoon session and the Friday/Saturday finals sessions, we will need two people to help with a significant amount of photocopying. These positions will not prevent you form working the Thursday afternoon sessions or finals sessions on Friday & Saturday night.

Security - we need two people per session to help with security. This primarily involves controlling access to the downstairs and pool deck.

Doping Control - we need two male and two female to assist with doping control for finals on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. There will be officials to carry out the actual testing but the role is to act as a chaperone for the selected swimmer(s) until the actual testing is done. People who speak french are preferred.

NOTES FROM THE TREASURER

Child Fitness Tax Credit Receipts
Child Fitness Tax Credit Receipts were e-mailed to parents last week. Please contact me at [email protected] if you have not received your receipt.
Please note that only those swimmers born in 1994 or younger are eligible.

Travel Accounts Statements
I was hoping to send out some travel statements last week but that did not happen. They will be sent out this week and I expect to e-mail them all by Wednesday night. As always, feel free to contact me at [email protected] if you have any questions about the postings on your account. For any questions requiring more than a simple e-mail, please see me at the pool or e-mail me so we can make arrangements to speak over the phone.

Thanks...Steve
