GOOD FRIDAY PENTATHLON
Please be advised that our club hosted Good Friday Pentathlon on Friday, April 22 MAY become a 1 session meet with a warm-up time of 9 a.m. and start time of 10 a.m. Finish time is expected to be between 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. We cannot make a final decision until after the entry deadline, but, currently, entries do not warrant 2 sessions. Please continue to check the newsletter for any updates on this situation.

Travel Accounts Statements
A reminder that travel accounts are payable upon receipt of your statement. As per club policy, amounts not paid with 30 days of receipt of the travel statement can result in swimmers not being able to complete for the club so please pay on a timely basis. As always, feel free to contact me at [email protected] if you have any questions about the postings on your account. For any questions requiring more than a simple e-mail, please see me at the pool or e-mail me so we can make arrangements to speak over the phone. Thanks...Steve
FUNDRAISING
Easter is coming, and FundScrip is ready! What better time to get prepared with groceries for an Easter feast or gifts from the Easter Bunny, than purchasing pre paid cards through FundScrip, and easily make money for your travel account at the same time! No one is out a penny with this great fundraising idea. You simply purchase pre paid cards for your groceries/gas/clothing/entertainment through LAC via the FundScrip program! It’s easy, fast, and we are all going to spend this money anyway!
If you purchase a $100 gift card, you receive a $100 face value gift card in kind … except, your travel account has just made up to a 10% rebate! This is free money back for everyday shopping.
ORDERS will be due for Tuesday April 12th . Using the order form located on the home page (also found on funscrip tab under fundraising with all the program details) on the website, email Katie MacGregor [email protected]indicating how many Gift Cards you want to purchase and from which retailer. Submit payment via cheques made payable to London Aquatic Club or online using your travel account # on or before the 12th .
PICK-UP YOUR GIFT CARDS at the Good Friday meet from Katie MacGregor. We cannot send the cards home with your child, an authorized adult must pick up your order. If you are not able to pick-up your cards during this time, please e-mail Katie MacGregor [email protected]to make alternate arrangements.
TIMER’S CLINIC
We will be running a Timer's Clinic at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre on Friday, April 15/11. This clinic will be held in the Lower Level meeting room from 5:30 - 7:00pm. LAC SUMMER SWIM CAMP
Eligibility: Any LAC Swimmer born 1999 or later may attend this camp.
Timeline: Camp will run approximately 7:30 am - 4:00pm daily. A schedule will be sent out at a later date.
Cost: $125.00 per swimmer (cheque payable to LAC by July 1)
Swim camp has only a few spots available so sign up ASAP. Please hand in your post dated cheque BY FRIDAY APRIL 15 to Donna at CGAC or Linda at CHOCC to secure your spot in the camp.
AGE GROUP INTERNATIONAL ETOBICOKE - June 4 & 5
The team has a block of rooms for this meet at the Residence Inn by Marriott closest to the pool. The rooms are studio's which have a king size bed plus a pullout sofa bed, full kitchen and includes a hot buffet breakfast for $105 per night. If you wish to reserve a room call the hotel at 905-602-7777 or 1-866-806-4242 and quote group number LBBP the cut-off date for these rooms is May 4, 2011. Thanks Wendy
LONG COURSE JR PROVINCIALS - June 30-July 3
The team has a block of rooms for this meet at the Residence Inn by Marriott closest to the pool. The rooms are mostly studio's which have a king size bed plus a pullout sofa bed, full kitchen and includes a hot buffet breakfast for $105 per night. There are also a couple of 2 bedroom suites which have 2 separate bedrooms both with king size beds plus a pullout sofa bed and full kitchen and also includes a hot buffet breakfast for $169 per night. LONG COURSE REGIONALS– June 9 – 12
The club has a block of rooms at the Four Points Suites by Sheraton at the gates to Brock University. These rooms are standard suites and have 2 double beds plus a pullout sofa for $134 per night. The rooms have been reserved for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, June 9-12. To reserve your room please contact the hotel directly at (905)984-8484 and tell them you are with the London Aquatic Club, please specify which nights you want your room for, you will need to provide a credit card number to guarantee your reservation. These rooms will be held until April 28 only.
