SUMMER TRAINING SCHEDULES

Have been posted in our Schedules  section.  Please remember that the start-up date of May 30 is tentative, and depends on the availability of the Thames Park Pool at that time.  If Thames is unavailable on that date all regular schedules shall remain in effect.

THANK YOU, to KAT GARROD, who from September led our HP swimmers through a regular Fri evening yoga class after their water workout.

CONGRATULATIONS, thank you and best wishes to ANDREW MIDGLEY, who has accepted a coaching position with the Barrie Trojans Swim Club.

COACHES REMINDER on MEET ENTRY DEADLINES

We need everyone to confirm, through the website, in a timely fashion, their attendance at swim meets.  It is a fairly easy, straight-forward process, requiring you to check the "EVENTS" section of the website, where you will find all meet information, and a "ATTEND THIS EVENT" tab, where you will do 1 of 3 things: 1) confirm your attendance 2) confirm your attendance for certain days/sessions only  or 3) confirm your non-attendance.  It is very difficult for the coaches to implement any changes after the published deadlines.  In the future, a non-response will be taken as a "NOT ATTENDING" response, and your child will not be entered.  Thank you for your understanding and attention to this.  

HOLLANDIA JOB SIGN-UPS 

• Thank-you to all the people who have signed up for the swim meet. We are a little thin in a few positions but overall the sessions are well staffed.
• There are some additional volunteer positions available for minor officials and canteen. The job sign up will be available again for the balance of Monday to allow people to fill these spots.
• A general reminder to those people signed up that it is important to show up on time for your volunteer session. Many of the co-ordinators must rely on volunteers showing up on a timely basis to ensure all aspects of the swim meet run well.
• While we understand that sometimes there are unexpected events which prevent you from working a session you have signed up for; please do honour your session commitments. If there are unexpected circumstances, families should first try to find a replacement and then inform the appropriate club contact. Contact information for the various co-ordinators is available with the event sign-up information.
• Senior officials and office staff will also be signed up using the web-site but the process will be different because of the importance of specific people working certain positions. As well, some of these people are not official members of the club with sign-in abilities. Instructions will be provided tonight for those affected.

NOTE: The session start and finish times have been changed from the original meet package. Revised session times were e-mailed last week and are also available under LAC Hosted meets/Hollandia.

HOLLANDIA SWIM MEET 2011 FOOD DONATION LIST
  
For LAC hosted swim meets, each family is required to contribute a food item as specified on the club food list.  Families not providing the requested food item will be billed for the allotted amount plus an administrative fee of $5.00 on their Travel Account.  The food contribution is required whether or not your swimmer is participating in the meet. 
    
All food items must be dropped off at the CGAC kitchen the afternoon of Thursday May 12th, with the exception of Development 2 and Age Group Orange swim families who may bring in their items on Friday May 13th.  It is your responsibility to check your family’s name off the list posted inside the CGAC kitchen when you bring in your food item.  The food items are to be $10 in value.  All fruits and vegetables are to be brought in whole.
