OLYMPIC BREAKFAST & TRAINING SESSION

The Olympic Breakfast & Training Session was a great success, with 40 LAC'ers participating in the stroke clinic put on by Coach Randy Bennett and his 4 Olympic swimmers.  Coach Bennett demonstrated his favourite drills in all 4 strokes while Ryan, Stephanie, Alexa and Julia all gave lots of individual attention to the swimmers in their lanes.  Many thanks to Randy and his swimmers for agreeing to this, and many thanks as well to those of you who helped with the breakfast...everything was delicious!  See the "WHAT'S NEW" section of the website for some photos of the session.

THANK YOU to the Wise family for billeting visiting North York Aquatic Club swimmer Alex Hamilton for 3 days last week; Alex came to London to train with Ryan Cochrane.

NOTE FROM THE TREASURER

Travel Accounts Statements

A reminder that travel accounts are payable upon receipt of your statement. As per club policy, amounts not paid with 30 days of receipt of the travel statement can result in swimmers not being able to complete for the club so please pay on a timely basis. As always, feel free to contact me at [email protected] if you have any questions about the postings on your account. For any questions requiring more than a simple e-mail, please see me at the pool or e-mail me so we can make arrangements to speak over the phone.

Thanks...Steve

LAC SWIM CAMP

Click here to view this year’s schedule for LAC’s Swim Camp. Each participating family will be receiving the schedule by e-mail as well. Take time to read the schedule’s pick up and drop off sections carefully as they are not always the same. Please take note that it is a PEANUT FREE camp, and all equipment bags (ex. Fins, snorkels, etc.) will NOT be needed for practice. We are looking forward to camp next week.smiley

A reminder that cheques for LAC camp will be deposited into the bank this weekend

DR. PAUL HAUCH MEET - MINOR OFFICIALS

The sign-up is currently set to allow a maximum of 8 spots total for the entire meet. This limit will be removed on Tuesday giving families one more day to sign-up.

Parents are encouraged to try out strokes and turns for the first time. This meet is a relaxed meet and provides an excellent chance to learn the position.

An important reminder that once the sign-up deadline passes, you are expected to fulfill your commitment.

The sign-up system now allows 50 character spaces to include additional information. You will sign-up as before but now when you select the "Green sign-up button" to confirm your sign-up, a box will appear that will allow you to enter information. Please include the name of the individual who will be working the swim meet.
