At the end of December 6 swimmers made the trip to Toronto for the Ontario Junior International. During the four day meet the small team competed against the best swimmers junior swimmer in Canada. During August when the team is taking a break Ollie Dawson travelled to Australia to compete for Team Canada at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships. During the four day competition Ollie would compete against charter nations Australia, USA & Japan as well as many other smaller counties. Day one Ollie claimed a SILVER medal in the mixed Medley Relay. His breaststroke split was faster than the Canadian in the same relay at the Olympic Games! During the 7 day Canadian Summer Swimming Championships in Toronto the Piranhas team of 11 qualifiers competed in the last version of this competition.
