We had eight swimmers at this year's Zone meet.  The traveled down to California along with almost 40 other of IES's best, racing agains11 other LSC's (Regions), top swimmers.  The IES placed 5th, and won the Sportsmanship/Spirit award.  From our 8 on the IES team, we managed to help set 2 meet records, win 2 events, and place 11 swims in the Top 3, and 22 swims in the Top 8.  SWAT swimmers also raced to 9 new SWAT team records.  Here are some of the Highlights: SWAT swimmers who...

Rachel Millet and I (Kevin Wang) flew down to Irvine California for one of the premier swimming events in the nation.  Jr. Nationals is the fastest 18&U meet in the nation.  Rachel competed against the fastest high schoolers in the nation, vying for a place on the Jr. Pan-Pac team.  While we didn't swim as well as we hoped, there was a lot of exciting things going on.  Rachel was recruited by a few college coaches, we traveled to six flags and screamed our heads off on a few rides, and...

It’s been an amazing year. One year ago, the Spokane Waves brought home a second place trophy from the IES Long Course Championship Meet for the first time in team history.  It was a hard-fought finish by the slimmest of margins. But this was a new year.
