2023 EASTERN ZONE LEADERSHIP RETREAT Colby College June 22-25, 2023 Maine Swimming will be hosting the first ever Eastern Zone Athlete Leadership Retreat June 22-25 at Colby College! The retreat is geared for athletes who have an interest in the dry-side of swimming including governance, DEI, Safe Sport, policy and giving athletes a voice in Maine Swimming. At the 2023 NCSA Spring Champioships last month, two members of the Gator Swim Team broke NE Records: James Misto broke the 17-18 year 50 Fly record with a time of 21.47 and George Groves broke the 15-16 year 50 Breaststroke record with a time of 25.89 CONGRATULATIONS
At the Eastern zone Age group meet Cullen Cashman of SSYS broke both the 100 and 200 breastroke records. He broke the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.17 breaking the previous record of 1:04.25 set by Corey Swanson ABF back in 2001. At the 11-14 Age Group Championships: The CRA 11-12 200 Mixed Medley Relay Team of Raffaella Andretta , Chase Whitman, Evie Gao, Leo Torres posted a time of 1:51.25, breaking the record of 1:51.77 set in 2020 by The Bluefish Swim Club.
