NST News 5/12/24: Swim-a-Thon Another great NST Swim-a-Thon! Way to go Swimmers!!! Thank you to all the parent volunteers for helping with lap counting and bringing snacks. NST has raised over $10,000 so far. Last day to hand in funds will be Tuesday May 28th. They can be given to Coach Shayna anytime between tomorrow and the 28th. I have given Coach Shayna the lap count along with the comparison from last year if swimmers are interested. For those swimmers that missed yesterday, laps can still be done at practice....

NST News 5/6/24: For today's practice the locker rooms are closed due to the start of the maintenance. The restrooms in the Rec Center across from Room 117 (Hospitaltity Room) are available for changing. The Rec Center is closed and the Rec asks that the swimmers come directly back -no hanging out/walking around the Rec Center will be allowed. The family changing room on deck is available for restroom breaks. NEWPORT SWIM TEAM IN ACTION 4/15/24 Over the weekend, three members of the Newport Swim Team took part in the Hugh Genualdi Invitational in Dallas, Oregon, April 13 & 14. Dylan Gibson, Ashyln Conrad and Skyla Chen all took part and swam very well. At the meet NST recorded had 9 PR's (Personal Records), out of 12 total swims. NST News: Schedule/Pickup No Newport practice on Saturday 4/20 due to a private event at the aquatic center. With the new pick up policy, NST does not have use of the atrium yet. Please do not ask the front desk to let you through. At this time, parents still need to enter the pool deck through the locker rooms (except Monday's-enter through side door to pool). Coach Maria has informed the team that she will be moving on to focus on her family. She as been with NST for almost 3 years. Before NST, she taught swimming lessons for many years.
