MB Riptides’ Winter Invitational Huge Success The Myrtle Beach Riptides swimming team hosted the 3rd Annual Winter Invitational January 15-17 at the “Pepper” Geddings Recreation Center. The event hosted teams from South Carolina and North Carolina. For the locally-based Riptides, it was one of their most successful meets with regard to athlete performance. Nine swimmers from the locally-based Riptides made the journey for the 2 ½ day event amassing 17 new team records and 31 new personal best times. The Myrtle Beach Riptides swimming team is proud to announce that Megan Kingsley (Conway Christian School, Carolina Forest resident) earned 12 national top-10 ranked swims for 2008-09.
