Trick or Treat Recap The Waves were fantastically fast down in Moscow.  We placed 3rd as a team, racing to 157 best times, and 2 new team records.  One of my favorite things to do as a coach is to compare team scores to team sizes.  Of the top three teams, we stood out.  The meet came down to a few swims; CAST had 53 swimmers and GMSC had 61.  The 45 Waves swimmers averaged 24.5 points per swimmer.  The other two teams averaged 21.7 and 17.9 points per swimmer...

Tri-Fusion: 4th Anual Sink-or-Swim Waves Masters Meet Saturday Oct. 24th was the 4th annual Tri-Fusion sponsored Sink or Swim Masters swimmeet. This was the first masters meet of the season. The meet was held at the Whitworth pool and 53 swimmers participated presenting at least 9 teams with some from as far away as Wenatchee and Montana. Overall, participants varied in age from 18 to 83. The Waves team had swimmers ranging in age from 21 to 58. This year we had one of the largest teams attending our own...

Fall Kick-off Recap The Waves had 109 kids participating at the Fall Kick-Off.  It was a blast.  Many of them were swimming their first ever meet.  If you see these guys, give them a high-five and ask them how it went!  Waves swimmers raced 280 times on Saturday, in which 208 of them were personal best times!  (That 74.2% best times)  Great job swimmers.    On a side note, Keddy and I had just finished updating the record board, only to have 4 new team records broken a few hours...

Thanks to all of our swimmers and parents who participated in our Developmental Meet last Saturday.  The meet ran very smoothly, and we had some fantastic swims--great job everyone!  Here is our recap of the meet.
