The DWHS Swim Team had a strong showing at the final taper meet last night. Congratulations to the following swimmers who earned District consideration times with some speedy swims: Caroline Cusack (junior) – 200 Freestyle relay and 400 Freestyle relay. On Friday, we had another meet against Lower Moreland High School. Our team continued to display strong swimming and won both the girls and the boys meets. Some highlights included the girls sweeping first through third places on both the 200 IM (senior Sydney Martin, sophomore Abby Harlan, and sophomore Seraphim Rahardjo) and the 100 butterfly (sophomore Cooper Jones, freshman Morgan Harlan, and senior Callie Ritter). As predicted, the great performances keep coming! The Whippets had their first dual meet against Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. We started off with the girls 200 medley relay (Caroline Cusack, Cooper Jones, Callie Ritter, and Leah Lacovara) taking first place and the boys 200 medley relay (Logan Seiss, Ike Durkin, Henry Dennin, and Zach Mourar) taking second place. The Whippets kicked off the 2022-2023 season by having some athletes attend a taper meet last night. For the girls, junior Leah Lacovara picked up two District consideration times with speedy swims in the 50 free and the 100 free. DWHS Swim Team Tryouts for the 2022-2023 DWHS Swim Team will take place on Friday, November 18th and Monday, November 21st from 3:00 - 4:30 pm at the Lionville Community YMCA, 100 Devon Drive, Exton, PA 19341. All student athletes must attend both tryout dates to be considered for the team for the 2022-2023 season.
