Alamo Heights Aquatic Club’s Responsibility to

USA Swimming's Safe Sport Program.

Vision Statement:

To empower swimmers of all ages and abilities to reach their fullest potential - both in and out of the water - by cultivating a community defined by excellence, integrity, and lifelong passion for the sport of swimming.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment where athletes develop strong technical skills, disciplined work habits, and confidence through competitive swimming. As a USA Swimming Club, we are committed to fostering personal growth, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the sport while supporting each swimmer's journey from beginner to elite.

Alamo Heights Aquatic Club and USA Swimming are committed to providing a positive, supportive environment that is free from misconduct for all members. The USA Swimming Safe Sport initiative is a comprehensive abuse-prevention program built on a multi-layered strategy designed to keep athletes safe. This approach includes required policies, best-practice guidelines, and mandatory screenings such as criminal background checks and employment verifications. Safe Sport training emphasizes education, monitoring, supervision, and mandatory reporting. These measures are guided by leading child-safety experts and represent some of the strongest protections available in youth-serving organizations. For more information see USA Swimming's Safe Sport Webpage.

The Mandatory Reporting Rule requires any individual with credible information involving sexual misconduct to report that information to our Safe Sport Program staff.  USA Swimming provides an online form for confidential reporting of sexual misconduct, bullying, inappropriate communications, or code of conduct violations.
