Friday, December 19 – Team Update & Swim Tips
Hey Team,
A few important reminders and next week's workout schedule:
Pool Covers – Team Reminder
With the cold weather rolling in, we’ve started covering the pools each evening.
Evening swimmers: Please plan to stay until the end of practice to help Coach Mike cover the dive pool. Your help makes a big difference.
9 AM swimmers: Please arrive 10–15 minutes early on Thursdays and Sundays so we can remove the covers and get the pool ready for practice.
Thanks for pitching in and keeping everything running smoothly.

Friday Swim Tip: Why These Drills Matter
Catch Drill: This drill helps you feel the early vertical forearm position, which is key for an efficient pull. A strong catch means you grab more water and convert it into forward motion.
Fist Drill: Swimming with closed fists forces you to use your forearms and improve your feel for the water. When you open your hands again, your stroke will feel more powerful and connected.
Both drills build awareness and strength in the most important part of your stroke—the pull. Master these, and you’ll swim faster with less effort!
These drills aren’t just practice - they’re the foundation of faster, more efficient swimming. Trust the process, stay consistent, and watch your stroke transform!
