There are many ways that YMCA swim coaches can learn and develop in their roles. A large number are free or at a nominal cost. Below is a list of resources, opportunities and partner organizations that can stimulate coach development.

USA Swimming-
As the National Governing Body for swimming in the United States, USA Swimming provides opportunities for development and achievement for athletes, coaches and volunteers in the sport of swimming. While membership in USA Swimming provides full access to all of its resources, there is much information on the USA Swimming website that is available to all.

American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA)-

The American Swimming Coaches Association is the professional organization for swimming coaches in the United States. They provide training, certification, professional development, advocacy and job search opportunities for coaches of all levels.
