Meet Handbook

Use these files to load your entries in your team manager software for import into the SwimCloud entry system.  The Entry File for the Championship meet was updated June 30 to correct duplicate events for the 50 free and 1500 free.  If you downloaded the event file prior to June 30, please reload it before processing your entries.

Insurance Certificates

If your YMCA is not listed in the above filtered list, look in this unfiltered list.  COI's for all YMCAs.

YMCA that participates in this YMCA National Championship meet must have a valid Insurance Certificate on file at the YUSA that covers the period through July 29, 2023.  If your certificate on file is not current, it must be updated prior to your YMCA participationg in this meet.  Emails with scanned images of certificates will be accepted.  Email may be sent to [email protected].  Example of Certificate

Required Forms

All coaches, adult (18&O) athletes, parents of minor (17&U) athletes and YMCA CEOs/Executive Directors have forms that must be completed in order for each team to compete. Find those forms HERE or on the Championship Forms page of the website.

The Coach Authorization Form is completed when a certified coach from one YMCA is authorized by another YMCA to be responsible for their athletes in the absence of a certified coach from that YMCA. It is completed by both YMCAs and brought to Meet Check-in. 

Travel Assistance for Athletes 

Travel assistance is available for athletes to apply to transportation and lodging for the YMCA National Championship. The athete must receive financial assistance from his/her YMCA. The athlete's YMCA Head Coach submits the request and funds are paid to the local YMCA for application to the athlete's travel expenses.

Athlete Volunteers 

Athlete volunteers are a special and unique aspect of YMCA National Championship Events. Please apply by July 19.

Eligibility Waiver Requests

The National Eligibility Committee will consider waiving one or more eligibility requirements for the YMCA National Short Course Championship Meet based on circumstances beyond the control of the athlete and/or YMCA. 

The coach will complete and submit the electronic form and the Eligibility Committee will make its determination within a week.  Include as much information as possible, including all measures that were taken to satisfy all eligibility requirements. Waiver Request Form

All meet volunteers are required to register with the YMCA National Youth Event Volunteer system and meet minimum requirements in accordance with YMCA and Federal SafeSport policies. Find requirements, registration link and instructions HERE.

Swim Officials Trainings

YMCA Swim Officials Level I, Level II and Trainer level courses will be offered prior to the start of the meet. Level I and Level II will be on Monday, July 24, 8:00 am-Noon. Trainer will be Sunday, July 23, 1:00-6:00 pm and Monday, July 24, 8:00 am-Noon. See the course descriptions and prerequisites here. SPECTATORS

Spectator All SessionTM Admission Passes

Before you decide to purchase admission passes, have you thought about volunteering as a timer?  Perks for timers working a minimum of 4 sessions include free spectator admission for sessions not worked as a timer and free parking.  If interested, see the section Volunteering to be a Timer.

All SessionTM admission passes will be available through an online purchase.  Ticketmaster will charge a $7.00 fee for each order placed online.  Thus, it is advantageous to purchase your All SessionTM admission passes in groups.  Ticketmaster will offer an Earlybird price for passes purchased prior to 11:59 PM on Thursday, July 20.  The Earlybird price for All SessionTM admission passes are $100 per adult (provides both admission pass and a heat sheet for all ten sessions) and $55 per child (8-18 years old, provides admission for all 10 sessions).  Passes purchased after July 20 revert to the Standard price.  The Standard prices for All SessionTM admission passes are $128 per adult and $66 per child (8-18 years old).  During the order process you will be presented several seat options, you may choose any of the options as they are all the same.  There are no assigned seats despite what Ticketmaster might print on an admission pass.  All seating is general admission.   Link to purchase passes. Online sales of admission passes begins at 10 AM on June 19 and ends July 23 at 10 PM.  All Session admission passes purchased online will be activated in your account on Monday, July 24.  All SessionTM admission passes will also be available for purchase at the Box Office on Monday, July 24 and Tuesday, July 25.

Spectator Purchases Onsite at the Meet 

Daily admission and single session-specific admissions can be purchased each day at the Box Office next to the spectator's entrance to the pool prior to and during competition sessions.  All sales are non-refundable.  The Onsite prices are $16 Single Session Adult (provides an adult both admission and a heat sheet for a single session); $7 Single Session Child (provides a child admission for ages 8-18); $29 Daily Adult (provides an adult admission and a heat sheet for the prelim and finals sessions on one day); $12 Daily Child (provides a child admission for the prelim and finals sessions on one day).  There is no charge for children 7 and under.

Parking at the Greensboro Aquatic Center

Monday, July 24, parking is free for everyone.  Officials and registered coaches will receive passes at Meet Check-In for free parking throughout the week.

All Session Parking passes - cost is $25 per car, SUV or pickup truck.  Can be purchased on Monday, July 24, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the lobby of the Special Events Center (building next to the Aquatic Center). Can be purchased Tuesday, July 25 at 6:00 AM until Wednesday, July 27 at 12:00 NOON at the Parking Lot Entrance Booth.  All Session Parking passes will not be sold after 12:00 NOON on Wednesday.

Daily Parking passes are available for purchase Tuesday, July 25 through the end of the meet at the Parking Lot Entrance Booth. Pass includes multi-entry from the time of purchasing through that day's evening Finals.  Cost is $8 for cars, SUV, Pickup trucks and small vans; $16 for large vans and buses; $25 for RVs without power; $50 for RVs with 50-amp power.


Senior Recognition 

As part of our Senior Recognition at the meet, we are creating a presentation to be shown on the video screen at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.  If you are a graduating senior and would like to be included in the presentation, please submit your information before July 15.   Details for submission

College/University Coaches Invitation 

College/University coaches are welcome at all YMCA National Swimming and Diving Championships.  We encourage you to come and see the talent that can be the future of your swimming team.  We do request that all college coaches check-in at meet registration/coach check-in with their business card or school identification and a photo ID.  You will receive complimentary admission, complimentary session heat sheets and a listing of all attending teams, coaches and swimmers.  You may use this form to pre-resister.
