On the heels of her successful international debut at the FINA World Junior Open Water competition in September, 15-year-old Jessica Dreghici showed us why we were so excited to watch this young rising star swim with the world’s best and some of Canada’s fastest distance age group swimmers last weekend. The competitive season got underway for our young Warriors on Saturday, October 22nd as 31 swimmers aged 7-12 from our AG1 and AG2 groups made their way to the University of Guelph Gold Pool to compete in their first away meet of the season. It was exciting to see our swimmers show what they have learned from their coaches since training began in mid-September. Congratulations to all CW swimmers who participated in our first in-house meet of the 2022/23 season on Sunday, October 16th. It was awesome to see such amazing team spirit, fantastic swimming at all levels and a packed crowd in the stands! A big thank you to all the parent volunteers, officials and coaches whose hard work and enthusiasm made this event such a fun and successful one for all. Hello CW Families! Training for Elite, Junior Elite, Junior, AG4, AG3, AG2, AG1 and Novice 2 begins next week with the remaining groups beginning the week after that! Parking this year will continue to be in LOT M with the overflow lot being LOT X. Beginning on September 12, we will need to display a parking pass when using these lots or risk getting ticketed/towed by UW Parking Security.
