A small, but mighty contingent of Club Warrior Swimmers from AG2 to Elite attended a fantastic meet hosted by the Otters at the Markham Pan Am Pool this past weekend. These 34 swimmers and their families didn't let the long weekend traffic or the crazy storms stop them - every single swimmer that attended this meet dropped time in at least one event, excellent job everyone! A fantastic afternoon of swimming from our Novice 1, Novice 2 and AG1 swimmers Saturday! Around 50 of our young Club Warriors, ages 7-12 competed at the ROW Novice Swim Meet at the University of Laurier. We loved that our swimmers had an opportunity so close to home to demonstrate what they've learned from their coaches over the last few months. John Grootveld Sr. Meet Report for AG2, AG3, AG4 and Junior: It was two bright and early mornings for the 12 & Under sessions in Toronto this past weekend! Our young swimmers posted many best times and had 19 “Top 5” and 49 “Top 10” finishes. Fourteen-year-old Jessica Dreghici made Club Warriors proud at the 2022 Eastern Canadian Swimming Championships. This 4-day event took place from April 21st through April 24th in Pointe-Claire, QC and was the first Easterns held since 2019. Jessica competed in all the Freestyle events this year and set her sights on improving on or making the time standards as a 15-year-old for the summer Canadian Junior Championships (CJC), the highest level of competition for 18 and Under Canadians. WAC Spring Invitational March 25-27, 2022 70 CW swimmers travelled to Windsor to compete in the first long course meet since 2020! Out of the 9 clubs attending this 3 day meet, Club Warriors came away with 139 medals achieved by 19 different swimmers.
