Strong Showing at USA Swimming's Southern Zone Open Water Championships!

Over the weekend, the FAST Falcons had four swimmers compete in USA Swimming’s Southern Zone Open Water championships in North Carolina. Logan Martin, Nicole Shanks, Alexandra Zamecki, and Maya Szylkowski qualified to represent Florida Swimming based on their performance at the Florida Open Water Swimming Championships in April.

In their individual events, Maya placed 10^th for the 11-12 girls 2K, Logan placed 10^th for the 15-16 boys 5K, Nicole placed 14^th for the 15-16 girls 5K, and Alexandra placed 30^th for the 15-16 girls 5K. In the team pursuit, Nicole and Alexandra’s relay team WON the overall title for 15-16 girls!
