Triathlon

 

This group is for triathletes of all experience levels, 18+ years of age, that participate in coach led swimming, cycling, running, and strength workouts.  The adult focused social training group contains swim workouts on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays (5:30 am to 7:00 am) and a rotation of cycling, running, and strength sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays (5:45 pm to 6:45 pm).

Five practices are offered per week.

SCY - Short Course 25-Yards Indoor

SCM - Short Course 25-Meters Outdoor (covered in summer)

LCM - Long Course 50-Meters Outdoors

Swimmers should feel comfortable joining this group to prepare for a triathlon swim, learn to be a more proficient swimmer with exposure to interval training, evolving stroke techniques, and involving different training equipment (snorkel, fins, paddles, resistance equipment).  

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

We swim year-round outdoors, however periodically Florida weather can be unhospitable.  In the event of inclement weather and at the discretion of the coach we swim indoors SCY or LCM depending on the pool set-up.

RACES

While races are not mandatory, there will be planned team races at area triathlons throughout the year. Participation is greatly appreciated, valued, and important for athlete development.
