Welcome to the Metuchen-Edison/South Amboy YMCA Manta Rays Swim Team. The MEY-SABY team is open to boys and girls ages 6-18 years of age interested in competitive swimming. We participate in the NJ YMCA Swim League with several dual meet teams, as well as in the USA Swimming meets. Team members are organized into training groups based on an evaluation of individual ability by our coaching staff. The Manta Rays Swim Team is a year round program broken into three sessions, Short Course, Spring Training and Long Course. The season begins in September with evaluations and practice group assignments. The focus is on developing stroke technique, discipline, training and team spirit. As members of the "MEY-SABY Swim Team" our swimmers establish lasting friendships, develop self-esteem, and a sense of responsibility through goal setting.
