At the heart of MEY are Head Coach Haley Nugent and Aquatics Director Adam Sourel — two lifelong swimmers turned passionate coaches who are dedicated to building something new, inspired by the team culture we grew up loving.

While our leadership begins with Haley and Adam, what truly makes MEY special is the culture and community that surrounds us. From swimmers and parents to volunteers and supporters, every member of our team plays a vital role in creating the positive, competitive, and family-centered environment we’re known for.

The lessons we learned in the water — discipline, perseverance, accountability, and respect — are the same values we work to instill in our athletes today. But these values don’t live in the coaches alone; they are upheld and strengthened by the entire MEY community. Together, we make sure every swimmer feels supported, challenged, and inspired to grow both in and out of the pool.

With new management and a renewed vision, we’re excited to make big improvements and build on the strong foundation that already exists. This season promises to be our best yet — a celebration of teamwork, tradition, and the spirit of the Manta Rays.
