Junior Elite

Age Group: Highly committed swimmers ages 9–12

Overview: Junior Elite is for top-level age-group swimmers with clear performance goals and a strong work ethic. Training emphasizes advanced technique, endurance, race strategy, and championship preparation.

Practice Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday: 6:45–9:00 pm (6:45–7:30 dryland • 7:30–9:00 swim)

  • Sunday: 7:00–9:00 pm (pool session; dryland as scheduled on calendar)

Required Equipment:

  • Team suit

  • Goggles

  • Swim cap

  • Fins

  • Pull buoy

  • Paddles

  • Snorkel

  • (Kickboard optional; mesh equipment bag recommended)

Goals:

  • Achieve YMCA/USA Swimming time standards and peak at target meets

  • Execute advanced race strategies, starts/turns, and stroke efficiency

  • Build consistency, resilience, and leadership within the team
