MEY Team Swimsuits (2025–2026)

Team Suit (Recommended)

For the 2025–2026 season, MEY will be using an official team suit. While it is not required for every practice, it is strongly recommended for meets and team events so swimmers present a unified team look.

Tech Suits (Information & Guidelines)

What Is a Tech Suit?

Tech suits are racing suits designed for competition and performance. They typically feature:

  • Bonded or reinforced seams
  • Compression materials
  • Water-repellent or performance fabrics

These suits are optional and generally used for championship or invitational-level meets.

Tech Suit Rules by Age Group

13 & Over

Swimmers 13 years and older may wear any approved tech suit that complies with USA Swimming and YMCA Swimming regulations. There are very few restrictions at this age level, but swimmers and families should always confirm meet-specific rules if unsure.

12 & Under (Important)

For swimmers 12 & under, tech suits ARE allowed, as long as the suit is on the approved list.

  • All USA Swimming–approved and YMCA Swimming–approved tech suits will have a green checkmark on the suit tag or packaging.
  • Always look for the green checkmark when purchasing a tech suit for a 12 & under swimmer.
  • If a suit does not have the green checkmark, it may not be permitted at USA Swimming or YMCA meets.

This rule applies to all invitational and championship meets, so it is important to verify approval before purchasing.
