Sam Starks, from the National group, was the lone swimmer who qualified for the CA/NV Gold Sectional meet, and so traveled with Coach Brad down to Santa Clarita to compete with over 800 top athletes from all of California and Nevada last weekend. This was Sam's first experience traveling to this high-level meet, and he did a great job representing our team and had a phenomenal individual performance. The Vacaville Swim Team participated in their first long course meet of the season at the 2013 Spring Splash held last weekend at Folsom Aquatic Center. VACA swimmers were quick off the blocks in anticipation of this upcoming fast-and-furious long course season! A prolific-scoring group of Vacaville Swim Team Masters competed last weekend at the Pacific Masters Championships in Moraga, CA and came away with a Top 5 finish out of 54 teams in the Small-Team Division. The Vacaville Swim Team’s National group sent four swimmers to the 64th annual Husky Invitational November 30th – December 2nd in Tacoma, Washington. This is a trials and finals meet that has time standards that have to be attained to attend the meet. The meet is composed of college teams and USA Swimming club teams. The Vacaville Swim Team hosted their annual Fall Swim Meet October 19th – 21st. There were over 600+ swimmers and 21 teams who competed over the three days of competition.
