Financial Aid & Outreach
Storm Aquatics is committed to ensuring that all swimmers in the community have the opportunity to get involved in the sport of swimming, regardless of family income level. Storm Aquatics will support our families who cannot afford the full cost of being USA Swimming members, whether they're working through an acute challenge or chronic need.
Swimmers that apply and are approved are subject to the following aid:
- Reduced USA Swimming Membership fees (approximately $10 annually)
- Annual Storm Registration fee waived
- Reduction in session fees; a family will choose to either swim at:
- 75% of the established session fees
- 50% of the established session fees
- 25% of the established session fees
- Fees for all home meets and Rising Stars meets will be waived
- Equipment will be made available to the swimmer at no cost, courtesy of Storm Aquatics & Simply Swimming
Guidelines for Requesting
A family in need should be able to demonstrate financial need (i.e., being on the free and reduced lunch program) or extenuating family circumstances (example: a parent’s work situation has abruptly changed)
Procedure
- Each request for aid is considered on a per session basis. A prospective family should fill out this form with the following:
- A statement of need
- The level of aid in which they hope to receive (25% aid, 50% aid, 75% aid)
- The Head Coach and a board member will review applications. Applications will remain confidential.
- Requests should be made two weeks prior to the start of the next session's registration, but can be made at any time.
Requirements
Applications must contain complete and true information. Incomplete or falsified information shall result in denial of requests.
All program participants granted financial assistance shall remain in good standing with the team. Unsportsmanlike conduct and/or conduct detrimental to the team shall be grounds for removal of all financial assistance present and future.
Swimmer and family must fulfill volunteer & fundraising requirements.

Officials' Reimbursement Program
One of the signs of a well-rounded swim club is having a robust pool of USA certified officials. To that end, Storm Aquatics is incentivizing parents becoming USA registered officials and representing Storm at meets.
- Storm Aquatics will reimburse all Storm Aquatics Officials' fees upon the completion of 4 sessions of home meets during a year.
- Storm Aquatics will credit back swimmer entry fees and connected meet fees (excluding home meet concessions, travel funds, etc) to family accounts for meets worked:
- For each session of a meet worked by a registered Storm Aquatics official (home or away), 1 swimmer's fees for one session of that meet will be credited back to their account.
- Following the completion of the meet, email [email protected], CCing Coach White. Indicate the sessions worked and the fees that would be billed for the corresponding session.
- Officials representing Storm Aquatics will be recognized each year at the annual award's banquet.
