Prerequisites
- 50 yards of continuous freestyle in less than :50
- 50 yards of backstroke in less than :55
- Minimum 25 yards legal breaststroke and butterfly
- Forward racing start from a starting block
Practice Details
~50 minutes per practice, offered 4-5 times per week

Competition
No requirements; a variety of age and ability-specific meets will be offered throughout the year including Rising Stars meets, USA duals, and invitationals
In-Water Focus
Building on the fundamentals of the Thunderstorm group, the Tropical Storm group will continue to emphasize fun and technique. Games and fun competitions will be mixed with drill work to provide an environment where swimmers want to come to practice and want to learn.
Other Notes
Swimmers are encouraged to participate in competitions--not to focus on an end result but instead to focus on "the process," and individual growth. Swimmers in this group will likely have inconsistent meet results but will learn race habits that will help them later in their swim career.
