Do I need a specific suit for practice?
A swimmer may wear any sort of appropriate swimsuit for practice. The team suit is not required (or even recommended) for practice.
Do I need a team suit for meets?
While a team suit is not required, it is strongly recommended for competition. Storm’s team suit is available for purchase at Simply Swimming and can be viewed on the Swimsuit Guide on the website.
What is a technical suit and when should my swimmer have one?
Technical suits are special swimsuits reserved for high level and championship meets (typically 1-3 meets per season, depending on the swimmer). Meets that are deemed “tech suit meets” will have that listed in the meet information. Please talk to the coaching staff before purchasing/wearing to discuss the plan for your swimmer.

New swimmers will be given their first cap (whether latex or silicone) free of charge before their first competition. Each fall, we'll conduct a team order for custom caps (the kid where you get your swimmer's name on the cap). They're ordered in pairs and a minimum quantity must be ordered for us to complete the order.
Where do I find the list of equipment for the season?
Equipment requirements for each group are located on the Equipment Needs page, under the Team Info tab.
Where can I order the equipment for my swimmer’s group?
Equipment can be ordered from the Storm Aquatics team portal at Simply Swimming. Click the logo below to go to Simply Swimming's Storm portal.
Where do we order team t-shirts and what do the colors mean?
When a swimmer registers for a new year, they'll have a team shirt ordered for them. Additional shirts can be ordered through our seasonal orders throughout the year. At swim meets, there are specific colors encouraged for specific days of the meet.
| Friday | Black |
| Saturday | Red |
| Sunday | Blue |
At our championship meets, we'll wear our meet-specific gear on Saturdays in place of the red. If it's a 4 day championship meet, Thursday will become the Red day.
Where can we get other items like parkas, jackets, and backpacks?
Parkas, jackets, and backpacks are also available from the above link to the Storm Aquatics Simply Swimming page.
