Learn to Swim Program / Water Safety Month

We are committed to not only our mission but also to promoting water safety in our community. In May 2024, we partnered with the City of Sun Prairie to proclaim May as National Water Safety month!

Additionally, every year we host a Learn to Swim program after our summer session wraps up! The program lasts one week and is completely free of charge! This year we are very excited to add adult programming as well. Storm swimmers volunteer, alongside the direction of coaches, to teach lessons.

Swim School Challenge

This past April, we had the pleasure of hosting our second annual Swim School Challenge. Diventures, Goldfish Swim School - Fitchburg, Prairie Athletic Club, and Dolphin Swim Academy came together at Sun Prairie East as we introduced 80+ swimmers to their first swim meet in a fast, fun, safe, low-stress environment. Storm swimmers volunteered in every position and helped to create a memorable experience for everyone.

We hope to continue this experience and continue to provide new swimmers with their first competitive swim experience in a fun and low stress environment.

Portable Meet Solutions

Over the past several years, we have been working to get all of the equipment needed to help smaller rec teams host swim meets! This past summer, we have been able to see that vision become a reality. This past summer we helped to host a meet in Evansville, saving their staff/volunteers hours of hand writing results, ribbons, and heat sheets! We hope to keep finding opportunities to help host meets in the future.

Blood Drives

Storm Aquatics hosts regular blood drives. In total, we have collected 586 units of blood, with each unit potentially saving up to three lives!

C.A.R.D.S. Closet and Sunshine Place

We hosted a small meet for some of our novice swimmers and the entry fee to the meet was simple - a pack of children's underwear. We then donated those to C.A.R.D.S. Closet in Sun Prairie! We have also worked with some of our 11-14 year olds to volunteer for Sunshine Supper.
