What is Safe Sport?

USA Swimming is committed to providing a healthy and positive environment free from abuse for all its members. USA Swimming’s Safe Sport program, a comprehensive abuse prevention program, consists of a multi-layered approach to keep kids safe, including: required policies and best practice guidelines; mandatory screening, including criminal background checks and employment screening; training and education; monitoring, supervision and mandatory reporting. These measures are informed by experts in the field of child safety and are among the strongest safeguards found in youth-serving organizations.

Written Permission Forms for Minor Athletes

• Written Permission for a Licensed Massage Therapist or Other Certified Professional or Health Care Provider to Treat a Minor Athlete

Online Education

USA Swimming LEARN provides free online courses for parents and USA Swimming members.

USA Swimming Non-Member (Parent) Instructions

1. Go to the USA Swimming LEARN registration page
2. Click the "Create Account" button in the Non-member access section
3. Complete all the required personal information and select WISCONSIN SWIMMING for the LSC and Storm Aquatics for the Club Name
4. Select "Courses"
5. Click the "Parent's Guide to Misconduct in Sport" box and follow the directions until the course is completed
6. You may complete other courses you want to take

USA Swimming Member (Officials, Coaches, Swimmers, Club Leaders) Instructions

1. Log into the USA Swimming Member Portal
2. Click the Education tab and then Course Catalog in the menu bar
3. Click the "Athlete Protection Training" box and follow the directions until the course is completed
4. You may complete other courses you want to take
