Michael White, Head Coach/CEO

With Storm:

Coach Michael White became the first full-time head coach of Storm in August of 2014.  Since joining the team, the number of swimmers on the club has grown from 100 to over 220, making Storm one of the largest clubs in the Madison area.  The team has gone from 68th in Wisconsin in 2013 to the top 10.  In 2020, Storm swimmers won multiple events at the WIAA High School State Championships and earned a top 10 NAG time.  In 2021, Storm swimmers helped contribute to Sun Prairie High School's first ever boy's WIAA State Championship.

Under Coach White's direction, Storm has earned USA Level 3 Club Recognition and Safe Sport Recognition.  

Coach White is the Age Group Chair and Club Development Chair of Wisconsin Swimming.  In 2019 he was elected the Coach Representative of the Central Zone of USA Swimming.  Michael has been a member of 3 Team Wisconsin Zone Teams and was the head coach for the Mid-States All Star team in 2019 and 2020.  He was nominated for Long Course Coach of the year in 2017 and won the 2020 Short Course Coach of the Year. In 2021, Coach White won Wisconsin Swimming's Service Award.

Education:

Coach White has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (2005, Marshall University).  In 2014 he co-authored a study with the University of Arkansas on fluid balance in adolescent swimmers that was published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.


Greg Lake, Director of Senior Programming

Greg joins Storm Aquatics after a successful tenture as the Head Coach of Waunakee Wave where he joined in 2017.  Over his 25+ years of coaching, Greg has coached swimmers that have won over 100 state titles, National Age Group top 10 swimmers, 14 Olympic Trials qualifiers, 2 USA Junior National Team members, one Junior National Champion and meet record holder and dozens of swimmers that have gone on to swim in college.  Prior to coaching in Wisconsin, Greg has been a coach at CCA and Virginia Gators in Virginia, Elgin YMCA in Illinois, HYCAT in West Virginia, and the City of Cortez Swim Team in Colorado.

Greg is married and has three children.  In his spare time, he loves the outdoors, cruising on the lakes on his boat, and golf.

Erin Radermacher, Director of Age Group Programming & Marketing

Erin comes to Storm with a unique mix of the business world and the swim world.  Originally from Park Ridge, IL, Erin started swimming at the Lattof YMCA at the age of 6.  At Kalamazoo College, Erin graduated Magna Cum Laude with both Math & Physics majors and was the captain of the swim team.  During her time at Kalamazoo Erin coached age group swimmers, worked as a counselor at Nike Swim Camps, and took part in a swim outreach program called Swim for Success.  

In her free time, Erin likes to hike, swim, and hang out with her three cats.

Rachel Hawley, Lead Coach

Growing up in Hillsboro, OR, Rachel started her swim career at the age of 9 swimming for Cornell Court Club summer swim team, before swimming for Tualatin Hills Swim Club for 11 years. She attended Washington State University, graduating with a degree in Zoology.  She was a for year letter winner setting school records in 100 and 200 backstroke as well as the 400 medley relay. Rachel was a member of WSU’s PAC-10 team of the decade. Rachel attended the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine to become a veterinarian. She is married with 2 kids (Madison and Owen) and 2 dogs.

Jamie McMillin, Lead Coach

Jamie is a native of DeForest, WI where she started swimming at the age of 11.  She swam for DeForest Aquatic Club, and later swam for DeForest High School. After high school, Jamie swam for UW-Stevens Point where she earned a BA in Sociology.  After swimming 4 years as a Pointer, she went on to coach swimming at the University of Wyoming (Division 1) where she was the Head Assistant Swim Coach for the Cowboys and Cowgirls in Laramie, WY. 

 

After 2 years in Laramie, Jamie earned a Masters Degree in Special Education at UW-Oshkosh where she was Assistant Swim Coach for the Titans for 2 years. After graduation, she settled down in Sun Prairie, and started working  at Prairie Athletic Club teaching swimming lessons and running stroke clinics. Jamie has has been a member of the coaching staff for the Sun Prairie Piranhas as a Lead Coach since 2008 and a Lead Coach for Storm Aquatics since 2014.

 

In Jamie’s free time she likes to travel abroad, work out, and go to the dog park with her dogs.  

 

Aleah Mulgrew, Lead Coach

Aleah is a current Madison College student with hopes to pursue her education in Animal Ecology. She has been a lifeguard and swim instructor for four years, and she has always enjoyed swimming. In her free time, she enjoys reading, poetry, traveling and trying new foods. 

Kayla Popke, Lead Coach

Kayla has been instrumental to the success of the Storm age group program since joining in 2015.  Her passion for the sport began at age 7 when she joined the Piranhas.  She was a member of DFAC Swimming, competed for Sun Prairie High School, and was one of the first members of Storm Aquatics.  When she’s not coaching, Kayla works as a dental hygienist.
