End of Season Planning
We’re now under a month until Regionals, so the vast majority of the team just has a few weeks left in the season—it has FLOWN by. If you haven’t already done so, start planning now for a quality end-of-season culminating event.
BCSC Champs (2/10)—This is the final Rising Stars meet of the season. Held in Cambridge, this one session event is a fantastic addition to our schedule. Absolutely every swimmer without a state cut is welcome to attend. We’ll do a portion of the work for this (each member of the conference pitches in to make this work), but it’s easy and the payoff in terms of confidence boosting is incredible. EVERY THUNDERSTORM AND HURRICANE better be there, no matter how nervous meets make them. For every other training group—if your swimmer doesn’t have any state cuts yet, please consider attending.
Regional Championships (2/16-2/18)—This meet sounds scarier than it really is. It’s the culminating event for everyone who doesn’t go to State and beyond. We co-host this meet in McFarland and it’s a decent sized undertaking, but boy is it a great caliber competition for all our swimmers. Here’s a handy chart to decide whether your swimmer should go:

Blood Drive
We are again partnering with the American Red Cross to host a Blood Drive fundraiser on Saturday, January 27th from 9am-2pm at the Waunakee Village Center.
The blood drive serves as an important community service event as well as a fundraiser for our team. We need 20 more donors to help patients in need and earn fundraising dollars for the team. If the goal is reached the team earns $500! If you are able, please sign up to donate now!
All donors will receive a chance at a trip for 2 to Super Bowl LVIII in Vegas!
