Storm Forecast for January 23rd, 2024
Golf Scramble Committee
Last year, we hosted our inaugural Spring Golf Scramble at the Oaks. Our 2024 date is Sunday, May 5th at The Oaks in Cottage Grove. We’d love to make this one bigger and better, starting with the formation of a committee to help plan the event. We’ll have a few meetings over the course of the next few weeks/months. If you’d be interested in helping out, email Erin at [email protected] .
Note for High School Boys
Historically, our high school boys have begun to trickle back into the senior group as early as the first week in February. With several options based on when swimmers finish high school, start club, and finish club, we’ve created a quick checklist on how to rejoin.
Spring/Summer Planning
We did an initial survey to families and got 75 responses for spring/summer plans, which isn’t ideal with 230 swimmers. If you haven’t told us what you’re planning to do this spring/summer, please take a few minutes and let us know what you plan to do.
End of Season Planning
Regional Countown: 24 days! If you haven’t already done so, start planning now for a quality end-of-season culminating event.
BCSC Champs (2/10)—This is the final Rising Stars meet of the season. Held in Cambridge, this one session event is a fantastic addition to our schedule. Absolutely every swimmer without a state cut is welcome to attend. We’ll do a portion of the work for this (each member of the conference pitches in to make this work), but it’s easy and the payoff in terms of confidence boosting is incredible. EVERY THUNDERSTORM AND HURRICANE better be there, no matter how nervous meets make them. For every other training group—if your swimmer doesn’t have any state cuts yet, please consider attending.
Regional Championships (2/16-2/18)—This meet sounds scarier than it really is. It’s the culminating event for everyone who doesn’t go to State and beyond. We co-host this meet in McFarland and it’s a decent sized undertaking, but boy is it a great caliber competition for all our swimmers. Here’s a handy chart to decide whether your swimmer should go:

We’re excited to be only days away from the 12&U travel meet in Oswego. Kids are loading into the bus at Sun Prairie EAST (not West as previously planned) and heading to a fast and fun dual meet. Meet information can be found here, with a form for parents to fill out here.
Blood Drive
This Saturday we’re hosting a blood drive, Jan 27th from 9am-2pm at the Waunakee Village Center.
The blood drive serves as an important community service event as well as a fundraiser for our team. If you are able, please sign up to donate now!
All donors will receive a chance at a trip for 2 to Super Bowl LVIII in Vegas!
Please consider signing up to donate or volunteering for the event at the JobSignup page
