12&U/13&O State Meets

A few folks still haven’t declared their swimmers for the upcoming meets.  Be sure your swimmer isn’t listed as uncommitted for the appropriate event.

New Swimmer Evaluations

Last fall, we had 36 new swimmer evaluations.  We’re already up to 34 signed up for this year over the course of the next three weeks.  For the first time since 2019, it looks like we may be turning swimmers away.

Olympic Watch Party (July 29^th)

We’ve invited our friends with the Piranhas and the Magicians to join us for an afternoon of Olympic racing.  July 29^th, we’ll start bringing swimmers in a little after 1pm (please don’t arrive before 1!).  Get your food and beverages, with racing starting at 1:30.  Only 90 minutes of racing (no distance event).  Tickets are again $10 and we’ve got spots for 100. 

Make-A-Splash (August 5-8)

We’ve got a record number of participants in this year’s Make A Splash lessons.  It’s really exciting to see the momentum growing for this event!  We’ve got a few seniors signed up to help but could use a few more.  Note: as one is trying to fatten up their college application, providing free swim lessons is hard to beat in terms of service hours….

Cornfest Parade

Due to a lack of interest from families, we’ll take a year off the Cornfest parade and look about getting involved again in 2025.

Practice Updates & Changes

The last day for many swimmers will be Thursday, July 18^th.  At that point, we’ll say goodbye to our Masters swimmers for the remainder of the summer and bid farewell to those that aren’t participating in Regionals, the LSC Champs, or the final Rising Stars Meet.  If you’re participating in any of those, go through the last day of competition and then you’re all finished for the summer.
