What a Great Start!

It looks like we’ll have around 225 swimmers registered for the winter session, our second highest winter total ever.  More than any year prior, this winter has a lot of moving parts with four different bodies of water.  Especially with parents not being able to watch their swimmers at East Madison Hospital, we greatly appreciate the trust you put within our program—it’s definitely a leap of faith that we recognize.

Elkhorn Meet

We’ve had a few folks ask about Elkhorn results and ribbons.  We’re still waiting….on both.  We received a partial results file, but not a full file.  We believe the ribbons were mailed out over the weekend.  I anticipate you’ll see those in mailboxes early next week with the McFarland stuff.

McFarland Meet

Speaking of McFarland, we’ve added times for each session for this weekend’s Rock Star meet.

12/1 Dual – Now Watertown Meet

Initially, we planned an intrasquad on 12/1 to swim some of our shorter events for swimmers.  However, it seems we’ve got a more elegant solution in just attending the Watertown Polar Plunge on that Sunday.  We anticipate this being a small meet, with Watertown, two other teams, and us.  If you’ve not been to this pool before, it’s not particularly “fast.”  But, for checking boxes off for IMR and IMX scores, trying new events, getting in and out fast—this meet is perfect.  So, for Tropical Storm, Cyclone, Tsunami, and Typhoon groups—this meet is now open for signup.

Distance Challenge

Tentatively pencil in the evening of 12/30 for our annual Distance Challenge at SP West.  It’ll have a 500, 1000, and 1650 freestyle.

Good News Announced Tomorrow

We can’t officially announce until you see pictures tomorrow, but Coach Erin has done great work in securing grant money and we’ll be able to share some of the fruits of that labor tomorrow.  Make sure you’re liking us on Facebook to see details.
