Meet Hosting

A quick personal thing: I was talking to the Head Coach of BAC yesterday.  They’re in the middle of hosting meets on two straight weekends, much like we did the last two weeks.  The poor guy sounds as though he’s going THROUGH it.  Contrast that to our experience…where many, many hands made lighter work.  I just wanted to thank all the parents who step in to do so many roles, for so many hours, for the betterment of our swimmers and our club.  The way you handle yourselves in a professional way and make the lives of those around you easier—you’re truly appreciated.

Sunshine Place Supper

As we continue to find ways to “flex our muscles” as an organization and give back to the community, we’ve been given another opportunity to do make a difference.  This Monday, we’ll be assisting with the handing out of meals at Sunshine Place on Main Street. I’ll be there, and we could use 8 others to help.  This can be swimmers age 11&Over or parents.  The shift will run from 4-6pm.  If you or your swimmer would like to help, sign up here.

Swim Clinic Rough Draft

Last March, we did a series of swim clinics and got favorable feedback on them.  We’re tentatively planning to run 3 days of optional clinics March 17-19, with groups divided into 8&U, 9-10, and 11&O.  We’ll have more details out next week.

Spring Move-Ups

Roughly 50% of swimmers being moved to another group have been notified.  We’ll have the other 50% notified by Thursday at 11:59pm, giving families plenty of time to plan out their spring.

Annual Awards Banquet

Please mark your calendar for April 6th at 5pm as we celebrate the 2024 long course seasion and the 2024-2025 short course seasons at Central Heights.  We'll hand out awards to swimmers from each group and recognize achievements along the way.
