Summer Session

At the moment, we’re looking at 125 summer registrations, beating last summer’s record.  We’re WAY up on our 11-14 swimmers, which is personally pretty heartwarming.  Kids are coming in excited to put in the work necessary to improve, and that’s all a coach can ask for!  We still have 2-3 more Masters swimmers and 2-3 more College swimmers that still need to sign up, which should put us over 130!

Splitting Duties

At the start of each summer, we always get a few emails from families that start with summer rec but realize they’re missing their Storm family.  If your swimmer is feeling that but you’re struggling to figure out how to make both work, shoot me an email and we’ll work together to figure out a solution that doesn’t drive you crazy from travel or broke, or both.

Grown Up Summer League

We're trying an experiment this summer, joining a group called the Grown Up Swimming League.  It's exactly what it sounds like--fun 25s and 50s, for adults.  No DQs, no training required, just a fun social event surrounding an outdoor pool.  There are 4 meets, although one is *really* soon and we're not super worried about it.  We're tentatively making our debut on 6/29 at Westside.  This is for Masters swimmers, former competitive swimmers, former social swimmers, out-of-shape coaches, parents trained by their kids last month---anyone that can make it across the pool safely.  Here's the link to the main site.  If you're interested in joining us, scroll down and click "Dive in with Storm."  I think it'll be a really fun time.

Practice Changes & Updates

Seriously—if you’re not subscribing to your swimmer’s practice schedule on your phone’s calendar, you should be.  Each training group has its own schedule so you don’t get a calendar flooded with other groups.  Subscribe to the meets, subscribe to your group’s practices---BOOM.  You’re always in the know.

Here’s our schedule until school lets out—only after then, we’ll go to our classic summer schedule.
