On the Home Stretch

We’re closing in on the final weeks of the season—already!  We have SIX meets in the next 12 days, then we’re down to our state teams.  If your swimmer is not participating at next week's Rising Stars Meet (Deadline today!!),McFarland, Regionals, or a state meet then their last practice of the season will be this week.  Swimmers participating in Regionals or the McFarland Last Chance Meet will train through the end of next week.

Storm Saves

We’re continuing the annual tradition of offering a week of entry level water safety & swim lessons for those that couldn’t otherwise afford them, with the goal of helping to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to be safe in the water.  Lessons will take place July 28-31 at Sun Prairie East High School.  New for this year, we’ll be adding a small group of adult lessons.  If you know of someone who might benefit from free lessons, please point them here.  As has always been the case, these sessions are due in large part to the generosity of our 13&O swimmers.  If you have a 13&O athlete that would like to help, please have them email me directly.

New Swimmer Evaluations

We’re already looking ahead to new swimmer evaluations for the 2025-2026 season.  Returning swimmers do NOT need to be evaluated again, but new swimmers will.  If you know of someone planning to join Storm this fall, you can share with them this link and they’ll be able to book an evaluation time over the course of the 3 weeks offered.

Summer Multi-Team Discount

With Team Unify’s limited functionality, there are no easy coupons or one-click solutions to swimmers that compete with Storm and a summer rec team.  So, we’ve created the solution below:

As we indicated during the registration process, swimmers that participate with Storm in full capacity in addition to a summer rec program (Mazo, Monona, Sauk, Sun Prairie, etc) can receive a 20% credit back on their summer fees.  Some families registered as doing both, others didn't.  So we're giving families through the 12th to indicate if they're on multiple teams this summer.  After the 12th, we'll credit back 20% of summer registration fees for families that paid for the session in full.
